| 4. Don't wait until
the last minute to think of details. Pick out colors for
your walls, appliances and fixtures early. This keeps
you from making a hasty decision you will regret in the long
run.
5. Be realistic. Rome wasn't
built in a day, and neither will your bathroom. Keep in
mind that quality work takes time. Get a clear idea from
your contractor how long your project will take.
Situations beyond the control of you or the contractor can
hold up a job including bad weather, out of stock parts,
unexpected obstacles and other factors.
6. Expect to be
inconvenienced. Remodeling is exciting but it can
quickly turn when you're eating take-out for weeks in a
row. Know what you are getting into, even a small
remodel can effect every room in the house.
